Refund policy
Every part 3DRX makes is produced to order — nothing sits on a shelf waiting to be sold, which is why this policy looks a little different to a typical retail return policy. Please read it before ordering.
1. Made-to-order & cancellations
Orders are made to order, with a typical lead time of 1–2 weeks. When you place an order, payment is authorised but not charged immediately. You have 24 hours from the time of order to cancel or amend it free of charge — after that window, the order moves into production and can no longer be cancelled or changed. This cancellation window applies to physical, made-to-order items. Digital file purchases are final at the time of purchase and are not eligible for this cancellation window, as delivery can happen quickly. (see Section 4)
2. Faults, defects, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law
If a part arrives faulty, doesn't match its description, or isn't fit for its stated purpose, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under Australian Consumer Law. Return shipping is covered by 3DRX for genuine faults. Get in touch with photos of the issue and it'll do my best to get it sorted.
Once a refund is approved, it's processed back to your original payment method — please allow up to 10 business days for this to appear, as banks and card providers can take additional time to post it once it's been sent. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and it still hasn't shown up, get in touch at luke.3drx@gmail.com.
3. Fitment on third-party kit-compatible parts
Some parts (for example, those designed to fit Garage Vary lips) are built for compatibility with third-party kits that vary between genuine and aftermarket copies. Minor fitment variance from this is normal and expected, not a fault — check the fitment notes and reference photos on the product page before ordering, and get in touch first if you're unsure.
4. Digital files (STL/STEP downloads)
Digital files are delivered by email once payment is received. Once a file has been sent, it cannot be returned or refunded — the data has been delivered and there's no way to "give it back." Digital file orders are not eligible for the 24–48 hour cancellation window described in Section 1 — payment is captured and the file is delivered promptly after purchase.
Digital design files and scan data are created from scans of a specific reference vehicle. Real cars vary — panel gaps, panel alignment, and prior guard/fender modifications (rolled or pulled guards, for example) all differ from car to car, even within the same model. A file that fits one car's exact panel may need adjustment to fit another. By purchasing a digital file, you accept this risk and understand that fitting or adjustment work on your end may be required — 3DRX can't guarantee an exact fit to your specific vehicle from a file alone.
5. Modified parts
Once a part has been cut, drilled, riveted, sanded, painted, glued, or heat-formed as part of its normal installation, it can no longer be returned for a change of mind. This is standard practice for aftermarket parts generally, and applies here too.
6. Buyer-supplied components
Several parts are designed to house components you supply yourself — gauges, lights, a Haltech display, and similar. 3DRX only warrants the part it made; compatibility issues with your own supplied components aren't covered.
7. Large and oversized items
Some products can be made (full bumpers and wings) but are local pickup only by default. If you're not local, these can still be made for you if you arrange your own courier to collect directly — but 3DRX isn't responsible for damage in transit under that arrangement. Large, unsupported items carry real risk when handled by a general courier not set up for oversized automotive parts, so this option is at your own risk.
8. Custom and bespoke work
Custom design and fabrication work is quoted individually and handled as a separate order, with a 50% deposit due upfront and the balance payable before dispatch. The deposit covers materials and design time already committed, and isn't refundable once work has started.
Cancelling before the work is complete forfeits the deposit, which covers materials and time already committed at that point. For larger custom projects, if the value of work completed exceeds the deposit by the time of cancellation, 3DRX may invoice for the reasonable additional cost of that work before ceasing further involvement.
